Gps updating for ifr flight
Probably another 00 to install them but that's just a guess. You could probably even find a couple of NARCO MK12's for 0 a piece. Then you'd need the glieslope radio attachment (not sure on the cost). You'd be bounced around much more on a summer day with white puffy cumulus clouds than in a low cloud bank with drizzling rain.
Currently there's one VOR receiver; I imagine you'd need two (one with glideslope) to safely fly an ILS. Even "cheap" radios can be astronomically expensive to install because the labor is very, very tedious and time consuming.Be careful searching on e Bay, people aren't always truthful about how well their devices function.I would ask around at a local avionics shop, they probably have some used radios they'd sell for cheap.Mitchell (TKM) makes a cheap slide-in replacement for the old Cessna radios, if that's what yours has in it.I would not advise buying one of these, I've only heard neutral and bad things about them.
